Client and self-initiated work
Whether it’s paper and pen, watercolour paints, my Apple Pencil on the iPad, or the pen tool in Illustrator, I’ve always enjoyed to draw and I continue to illustrate for self-initiated work and client projects when possible.
Holiday client gift
For three years I had the opportunity to design Christmas gift wrap for our annual client holiday gift. Each year we had a new theme to design to.
Completed while I worked at K9 strategy+design
Year 1 theme: Canadiana
I illustrated a bunch of Canadian animals to turn into a patchwork pattern and made two coordinating papers because I love a good set of stacked gifts.
Year 2 theme: Christmas carols
I handlettered lyrics to Holly Jolly Christmas.
Year 3 theme: Merry Chickmas
In our third year of designing gift wrap, K9 added to the client gift, and purchased a chicken in honour of each client through Plan Canada. The chickens helped families by feeding them with eggs, providing income, and teaching girls poultry management skills. We packaged the papers up in butcher paper and a custom labelled gift pack we called Merry Chickmas.

Happily ever afters
Illustration, lettering & design for a whole bunch of special events: weddings, wedding showers, bachelorettes, baby showers and more.
Physical distance lettering
In an effort to keep busy during the early days of lockdown, I created an illustrated alphabet, showcasing some ideas of things to do while practicing physical distancing.
How many of these things did you do while in lockdown?
